Microbiology Laboratory of the Center for Translational Medicine
The Microbiology Laboratory of the Center for Translational Medicine is a modern research facility
focused
on conducting microbiological studies under sterile conditions and
testing the efficacy and safety of
biologically active substances. The laboratory offers
comprehensive capabilities for cultivating and
identifying microorganisms, assessing the effects of
environmental factors and chemical substances on their
development, and performing molecular biology analyses
of microorganisms.
Thanks to its advanced equipment and implemented quality procedures,
the laboratory supports both basic
and advanced microbiological research. It plays
a key role in translational medicine projects, the
development of antimicrobial therapies,
microbiological purity monitoring, and testing
the impact of new
technologies and substances on microbiota.
Strict environmental control and the ability to conduct long-term experiments
enable in-depth analysis of
biological processes within microbial populations and their responses to various stimuli.
Microbiology Laboratory Equipment
- Phytotron Chamber — providing precise control of temperature, humidity,
and light cycles for microbial cultures, - CO₂ Incubator — for cultivating microorganisms requiring specific gas atmosphere conditions,
- Laminar Flow Cabinets — ensuring sterile conditions for handling biological materials,
- Laboratory Autoclave — for sterilizing materials and maintaining biosecurity,
- LAB-Genie5 Water Purification System — delivering ultrapure water for preparing media and reagents,
- Laboratory Centrifuges — for sample preparation and microorganism isolation,
- Spectrophotometer — for quantitative assessment of bacterial culture growth and absorbance analysis,
- Microplate Readers — for conducting microbiological and biochemical assays.
Collaboration Opportunities and Available Services
- Cultivation of microorganisms under strictly controlled conditions (temperature, humidity,
gas atmosphere), - Testing the efficacy and cytotoxicity of biologically active
and antimicrobial substances, - Assessment of environmental factors (including oxygen levels) on microbial growth
and metabolism, - Sterilization of laboratory materials and preparation of aseptic research environments,
- Preparation of culture media and materials for microbiological experiments,
- Biochemical and spectrophotometric analysis of microbiological samples,
- Collaboration on translational projects, including research on microbiome, and the safety
